I worked with Tyrone for around 18 months. I went to him with a long list of problems (including knocked knees, a poor walk, no balance and a general lack of progress in the gym). I found out that what they amounted to was lack of muscle tone and core strength.

I was about as out of shape as a woman in her 50s could be but he never once patronised me or made me feel old and useless! Tyrone treated me with respect, gave me honest feedback, noted my achievements, was quick to point out progress and always encouraging. 

By choosing a variety of equipment and different exercises, he helped me build my strength and balance while developing an understanding of how to make the most of of my time whilst training.

 

18 months on, I'm a different shape and my posture is excellent. I no longer have back and shoulder pain because I have the core strength to support myself properly. Even my knees are straighter!

After suffering a minor heart attack at 54, I wanted a trainer and therapist who could support my road to recovery and help me build my fitness levels. After a year of working with Tyrone I feel we have more than accomplished both goals. Tyrone knew the best way for me to start my recovery and how hard to push me, taking into account the effects of the drugs I was taking and how I was psychologically. Tyrone has been inspirational and has provided the motivation to improve my overall health and strength. He has made our sessions hard but good fun and something both myself and Frances have eagerly looked forward to each week. He has been both sensitive to our training requirements and personable. He has helped me recover from a broken wrist I suffered whilst on holiday. We will miss him as a trainer and friend.

 

FRANCES

My goals were to improve my overall fitness and to build muscle to assist with my health conditions. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and hips. Tyrone has helped me to build muscle specifically focused weight-bearing exercises. I am more mobile and practically pain free now as a result. I managed to stay mobile with a broken bone in my foot and exercise whilst healing thanks to my sessions with Tyrone. He has been instructive and fun and has seriously helped with motivation to make exercise an enjoyable part of my life. Tyrone is very knowledgeable on anatomy and physiology which he uses in one to one sessions where he is motivating and instructive. He is very likable and personable as well as being professional and fun.
